After several days of seeing neon billboards being set up across social media—so much so that I now dream in brat-green (and I'm not complaining)—Charli xcx has finally revealed which artists will be featured on her eagerly awaited remix album.
In case you missed it, our algorithms have been flooded with videos of billboards being erected in different cities and countries. These billboards are adorned with the names of prominent musicians and styled in the iconic fashion of Charli’s latest album cover, brat.

With the remix album’s release just around the corner, fans have interpreted these billboards as announcements of the artists Charli has recruited for her upcoming project.
Spotting these billboards became a mission for fans, who likely carried speedo sunglasses and a pack of cigarettes (the brat girl starter pack) as they snapped photos of green billboards in Pennsylvania, Florida, Connecticut, and Louisiana, among other cities.
Closer to home, rumors of Charli potentially headlining Laneway gained traction after a brat-themed billboard was spotted in Sydney, featuring the festival’s name in that now-famous Arial font — which wasn’t even in my top three favorite fonts until brat came along.
While fans struggled to discern which billboards were genuine (curse you, AI!), Charli has since confirmed the artists who will appear on the remix album, set to release on October 11. Amusingly, it’s titled Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat.

On Friday, the pop star took to social media to share a collection of billboard photos, and needless to say, some of the names confirmed for the remix album are my dream team.
The most notable names include soon-to-be Glinda and Spongebob’s girlfriend Ariana Grande (!), “Nasty” singer Tinashe (double !) and pop rock band The 1975.
Although I might not count The 1975 frontman Matty Healy in my dream team (for several reasons), Charli is engaged to the band’s drummer, George Daniel, so perhaps it’s a case of workplace favoritism.
Also confirmed for the remix album are Caroline Polachek (triple !), Bon Iver, Bb trickz, The Japanese House, Shygirl, Julian Casablancas, Bladee, and Jon Hopkins. All of this just in time for an actual brat summer in the southern hemisphere? Charli keeps us entertained.

Charli’s post also included images of billboards with the names of Troye Sivan, Billie Eilish, A.G. Cook, Addison Rae, Yung Lean, Robyn, and Lorde, who are featured on the already released remixes of “Talk Talk”, “Guess”, “Von dutch” and “Girl, so confusing”, respectively.
Sadly, Charli’s announcement seems to confirm that the widely circulated images of Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift billboards were probably fake, no matter how complimentary Swift was amidst rumors of a supposed feud, or how desperately fans wanted Swift on the tracklist.
It’s still unknown exactly which songs from brat the new artists will be featured on, but perhaps Charli will hire a billboard-hanger to update all of them with those details soon.
